Campaign Launch Event
What a fantastic launch to our campaign we had in Melksham!

It was a great evening – my thanks to all who came and supported it. (Even if you couldn’t be there, read on to see how you can help by joining us on our Action Days and, of course, by sending a ‘bung’ if you can.)
I was so encouraged to hear your ideas for our campaign and your enthusiasm to help. (This has all been noted and we will be back in touch.)
We know that the effort we put in now is like that seed that will grow into a worthy harvest come the General Election!
At the start of April, the political consultancy Electoral Calculus has, for the first time, shown us level pegging with the Conservatives here in Melksham and Devizes constituency. See for yourself here.
With every chance of winning, we must do the work to make it happen.
If you want to get involved, here’s our ‘sits vac’ list:
Wholesalers - bundle leaflets and take them to deliverers, maintain an up-to-date list of deliverers and let them know when the next leaflet is expected. We need people right across the constituency to help with this!
Garden poster team members - work with others in a team to prepare stakes for garden posters, and help erect posters in people’s gardens whether on stakes or to existing posts or fencing.
Door-knocker - talk to voters about the coming election and see if they have considered voting Lib Dem. You can accompany an experienced canvasser until you are happy to go to doors on your own. Canvassing is done as part of our action day activity so you would normally be in a road or small area with others.
Deliverer – deliver a round of leaflets in your neighbourhood or go elsewhere to discover the pleasures of our varied constituency!
